Welcome to the Mills County Conservation
Board website!

The Mills County Conservation Board was established in January of 1957, as per Iowa state law. The organization’s stated purpose is: “To make available to the inhabitants of Mills County, public museums, parks, preserves, parkways, playgrounds, recreational centers, county forests, wildlife and other conservation areas, and to promote and preserve the health and general welfare of the people, encourage the orderly development and conservation of natural resources, and to cultivate good citizenship by providing adequate programs of public recreation.”

While here you may browse the Environmental Education programs we offer for Mills County schools and youth groups. We provide public programs which can be found under the link for Upcoming Events. We also provide programs for various businesses, groups and organizations within Mills County, which may be scheduled upon request. While here you may also view current and past issues of the MCCB newsletter, Conservation Matters.
